W6 is a life enhancing garden centre
in the heart of London,
created out of passion and expertise.
Specialising in the urban garden,
W6 aims to make plants and gardening
an essential part of city life.
A story of transformation
In 2011, visiting a site under the railway arches of Ravenscourt Park tube station, Beryl Henderson knew she had found the next challenge for her and the N1 Garden Centre team. This was where they would create W6 – a truly life enhancing garden centre in the heart of London.
Having started N1 Garden Centre ten years earlier, Beryl was no stranger to the hard work and dedication needed to transform an unloved piece of London space into a flourishing garden centre. At N1, she had turned an old button factory into one of London’s most innovative and inspirational garden centres. Now, with the full support of her team, she was determined to let her passion and expertise transform another London site into a life enhancing urban space.
When starting N1, Beryl had been guided by her vision of a new kind of garden centre. An urban garden centre with quality plants, grown by specialist English growers, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Now she was going to let that vision guide her again.
Five years on W6 has established itself as an outstanding garden centre in its strive for excellence, and in 2015 W6 was awarded best boutique garden centre at the industry’s Garden Retail Awards.
Connecting to the urban gardening movement, W6, like N1, continues to attract innovative suppliers within horticulture, design and home accessories, making urban gardening accessible and truly inspirational to both the knowledgeable and the beginner gardener alike.
Staying true to Beryl’s vision, W6 is a place where urban gardening is made possible every day, through passion and expertise.

the W6 cafe!
The W6 café serves simple but delicious fresh food made with great ingredients, some of which are grown in our own herb garden.
The W6 café was created as a way to celebrate the great city we live and work in, by transforming a forgotten space under the railway arches of Ravenscourt Park tube station into a truly life enhancing space for our customers.
Using unique reclaimed furniture and on-trend plants, W6 Creative Director Paul Holt has brought together horticultural inspiration and beauty and created a unique, relaxing and welcoming space. To Café manager Noemi Boccasile and her team, great customer service is just as important as serving excellent food and coffee.
So whether it’s for a much needed ice cream in the sun, a lunch with friends or a quick coffee, pay the W6 café a visit and discover one of London’s hidden gems!

For the love
of our garden
Whatever outdoors space you call your own,
plants and gardening can be a natural part
of your city life.
Plants come in many different forms. Some plants like a bit of shade,
some enjoy of good dousing of water, and others will only bloom given full sun. Some have thorns, some climb by tendrils, and others creep or trail along the ground. You’d be surprised at the selection offered at W6.
Louise Alhadeff, outdoor plant director at N1 and W6 and her team
of plant specialists, work in close collaboration with selected nurseries to
ensure the quality of all plants. To make sure our customers get the quality they’ve come to expect, every plant delivery is checked upon arrival.
