We are delighted to have won a coveted gold medal AND the overall best-in category award for our Autumnal inspired Houseplant Studio at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show – the first time this category has been included in the show!

It was not only the first time the RHS included a houseplant category, it was also held in September for the first time since it started in 1913. So inspired by the colours of autumn we explored how the change of season can be reflected in the home through plants and accessories.

“Autumn is my favourite time of year and we leapt on the opportunity to showcase the best of it in our Houseplant Studio!  We focused on plants that reflect the colours of the season and shared a plethora of ideas helping visitors refresh their houseplant collection. Aglaonema ‘Orange Star’ and ‘Red Star’, Pilea peperomioides ‘Sugar’, ‘White Spot’ and ‘Mojito’, Nertera granadensis (bead plant) and Philodendron ‘Painted Lady’ and ‘Orange King’ were some of our specially selected autumnal houseplants featured due to their complementing autumn colour palette.”   Paul Holt – Creative Director at N1 & W6 Garden Centre

We also wanted to demonstrate how you could recreate a stunning feature using something you might already have at home, such as a tray or glass storage jar, and adding a houseplant or two with a pop of colour courtesy of leaves, fruits or even a giant pumpkin!
